Mississippi Attorney General Opinions, 1845-1967
|
|
Official opinions of the Attorney General of Mississippi: 1893-1967, Jackson, var. state printers, 1893-1967. (The Office of Attorney General of Mississippi was created by the Constitution of 1817. Although the first published report appeared in 1872, reports were not published regularly until the last decade of the Nineteenth Century. Thereafter, until 1966/67, they were published biennially, with opinions being included in most biennials. Nothing was published for 1968-1983. Thereafter publication came in two formats. A microfiche edition through the Hein Company began with 1987. In addition, from 1984 to date the A.G.’s Office has published on-line synopsis of opinions via the Court Education Program of the University of Mississippi Law Center. In many of states the original paper versions of the attorney generals’ reports and opinions were sometimes published together, sometimes separately, sometimes, as in Michigan, interspersed with other material, while in some years only reports or only opinions were published; making for a confusing literature. To minimize this confusion in its online offerings, LLMC has chosen to group all of the U.S. state attorney generals’ reports and opinions in two separate series for each state. For the Mississippi A.G. Reports, see the separate Reports series elsewhere on this site.)
