Official opinions of the Attorney General of Minnesota: annual 1860-80, biennial, 1881/82 thru 1959/60 Saint Paul, state printer, 1861-1961, all published. (Although attorneys general had been appointed earlier by the Governor with sanction from the Territorial Legislature, it was only the 1858 statehood Constitution which established the Office of Attorney General. Publication of the reports began in 1860 and was annual through 1880 and biennial from 1881/82 through 1959/60, when the separate reports series ended. Beginning with the 1893/94 biennial the reports volumes also included opinions. There is no record of either reports or opinions covering late1960 through the first half of 1967. A separate title, Selected Opinions of the Attorney General, dated 30 Sept. 1968, was published containing a report for 1967/68 and selected opinions from 1960-68. Finally, A.G. opinions subsequent to late 1968 were published as a part of the looseleaf-format publication Minnesota Legal Register. For the Minnesota A.G. Reports, see the separate Reports series elsewhere on this site.)
