SEE ALSO 53553 House No. 43 On February 10, 1841, a Joint Special Committee reported on its examination of the Valuation Document: There were mathematical errors. Eight counties seemed to have good reports, but six counties were separately discussed. The Committee thought 1 1/4 mil was an appropriate tax rate. The Senate made some additional changes and thought 1 mil was a better rate. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
