House No. 36 A three man special committee reported a bill: An Act concerning attorneys at law, 1836. Any inhabitant, aged twenty-one or older, could file a statement with the clerk of the court that he intended to practice law. He had to satisfy the court of his good moral character, but no other qualifications were required. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
