SEE ALSO 52215, 52221 A Special Committee of seven men presented An Act concerning hawkers, pedlars, and petty chapmen, 1832. Any traveling salesperson was liable to several penalties, but no offense was given. Other sections told how to handle the hawker's goods if he were arrested. Those peddling tinware had to have a license from the state and the locality. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
