Massachusetts Senate. No. 29. On January 10, 1832, three men were named as a Committee to report on the valuation of the Commonwealth and a new apportionment of the Senate. The Joint Select Committee on Valuation offered: An Act to divide the Commonwealth into districts for the choice of Counsellors and Senators, 1832. Ordered, that Mess. Webster, of Boston, Williams of Northampton, Torrey of Fitchburgh, with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to consider and report upon so much of the Governor's message as relates to the valuations of the Commonwealth, and a new apportionment of the Senate.
