General Court. Resolve on the tone of the Joint Committee's report on the State Prison, 1827

SEE ALSO 51755, 51803, 51821, 51822, 51823 On February 5, 1827 the Committee investigating the State Prison was directed to pay particular attention to whether the Directors of the prison had done an adequate job. This special directive was because the report of a three man Commission on the prison seemed to suggest the Directors were ineffective. I believe this document precedes the one in 51823 which seems to respond to this document. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
