SEE ALSO 56529 Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 71. An Act to extend the time for completion of the European and North American Railway and
to enlarge the powers of said company, 1866. A further year was allowed to reach Lincoln and the Company could alter the route between Bangor and
Lincoln. Two more years were allowed to get to New Brunswick. The Railway could sell itself or buy connecting railroads and could even build track in
New Brunswick. The Company could sell its land and timber grants to finance construction in Maine. There were directions on finances.
