Thirty-ninth Legislature. House. No. 16. An Act to authorize the City of Bath to lend its aid in the construction and extension of the Androscoggin Railroad, from the town of Leeds to the town of Topsham or Brunswick, 1860. The town could loan up to $200,000, subject to the listed terms and conditions. The company had to raise $50,000 after which the town's money was doled out on a schedule. Its mortgage was described and how to foreclose, if necessary. Bath was to have a director on the railroad's board. Both the railroad and Bath had to vote to accept the terms.
