Illinois Administrative Code. Published in nine volumes by Jim Edgar, Secretary of State (1985). The Preface, in vol. I, states: “The Illinois
Administrative Code contains the rules of the state’s agencies promulgated in accordance with the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act … and on file in the
Office of the Secretary of State and in effect on January 1, 1985.” Each volume contains a table of contents for that volume. Volume 1 includes the
introduction, preface, a table of contents for the entire set, and a section How to Use the Illinois Administrative Code. Volume 9 includes a Title
Index, Agency Index, Statute Cross-Reference Index and Subject Index. (At time of writeup, this set included a 3-volume 1988 supplement. Vol. 3 contains
indexes including a Sections Affected Index.)
