Description and Holding Information
1914-, Illinois Public Utilities Comm., Annual Rpts., 1914-20,
Annual reports of the State Public Utilities Commission of the State of Illinois: Vol.1914 to Vol. 1920/21, Springfield, Ill. St. Journal Co., State
Printer, 1915, all published. (The Illinois Public Utilities Commission {P.U.C.} was created in 1913, and began operation sin January of 1914. It
succeeded, and assumed many of the duties of, the Illinois Railroad and Warehouse Commission, which had functioned from 1870-1913. The P.U.C. was in turn
replaced by the Illinois Commerce Commission in 1921. The opinions and decisions of this later body are also offered on this site. The first of these
P.U.C. annual reports, 1914, contains on pp. 1-59 an extensive description of the Commission, its organization, and principal functions. It is not
clear that annual reports were issued for all of the years of the P.U.C.’s existence. LLMC has been able to locate only the 1st and 3rd , 1914 & 1916,
reports. Copies of any other years found are earnestly solicited for scanning purposes.)
