The Plan in Brief states that the plan, updated in 2020, “serves as an agenda outlining actions needed to preserve the judiciary’s successes and, where appropriate, bring about positive changes.” The plan highlights seven strategic issues for the federal judiciary: 1, Providing Justice; 2, Preserving Public Trust, Confidence, and Understanding; 3, Effective and Efficient Management of Public Resources; 4, Judiciary Workforce and Workplace; 5, Harnessing Technology’s Potential; 6, Enhancing Access to Justice and the Judicial Process; and 7, the Judiciary’s Relationships with Other Branches of Government. It includes strategies and goals for each Issue, with background and commentary.
