The Federal Statutes Annotated. Containing all the Laws of the United States of a General and Permanent Nature in force on the first day of January,
1903. Compiled under the editorial supervision of William M. McKinney and Charles C. Moore. Published in 10 volumes by Edward Thompson Company
(Northport, Long Island, New York 1903-1906). Volumes I to VII include the Federal Statutes Annotated. Volume VIII contains The Constitution and Amendments,
and an Analytical Index thereto; other organic laws of the United States, a monograph on the Growth of the Constitution in the Federal Convention of
1787; and Notes on the Constitution. Vol. IX continues Notes on the Constitution by Thomas H. Calvert. Vol. X contains the Appendix bringing the Acts
of Congress down to January 1, 1906, Tables of Statutes and General Index. (From the Preface in volume I: “The design of this work is go give under
obvious titles, alphabetically arranged and thoroughly annotated, all the Acts of Congress of a permanent and general nature, except those relating
exclusively to the District of Columbia, in force on the first day of January, 1903.”)
