R. Clements in Oxford, 1750. (This anonymous work was first published in 1750. It concerns the election of the founder’s kin to fellowships in the
College. According to Clitherow’s biographical preface to Blackstone’s Reports, this Essay was Blackstone’s first publication. Blackstone subsequently
revised the text and included it in his Law Tracts, see Eller Title nos. 238 and 240, P/L 29/53ff below.)
