Dissertation on the Accounts of All Souls College, Oxford, 1898
by Sir William Blackstone, D.C.L., Presented to the Roxburge Club by Sir William Anson, Bart.: 3+iii+52p, London, J.B. Nichols and Sons, 1898.
(Blackstone, bursar of laws of All Souls College, addressed this careful account of the economy of a college in the eighteenth century to Benjamin Buckler,
bursar of arts of All Souls College. William R. Anson in his preface says; It exhibits ... the orderly character of Blackstone’s intellect, and the
dignified suavity of his style, while it is illuminated by touches of irony and humour which are wanting in the Commentaries. The Dissertation was not
published during Blackstone’s lifetime.)
