A criticism of William Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England, by Jeremy Bentham, now first printed from the author’s manuscript, with
introduction and notes by Charles Warren Everett: vii+253p, Oxford, Clarendon Press, 1928. (According to the editor, this manuscript was found in the
course of an examination of the mass of Bentham’s letters and papers in the library of University College, London. This manuscript is the original work
from which Bentham’s Fragment on Government had been detached and published. The whole is a running comment on sections 2 and 3 of Book I of the
Commentaries.)
