The Sacco-Vanzetti case : transcript of the record of the trial of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti in the courts of Massachusetts and subsequent proceedings, 1920-7: 5 vols., New York, Henry Holt & Company, 1928-1929. ( A chronological arrangement of documents related to the the Sacco-Vanzetti case. Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were Italian-born American anarchists who were wrongly convicted of murdering a guard and a paymaster during the April 15, 1920 armed robbery of the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in Braintree, Massachusetts. This collection of materials includes the minutes of the trial, briefs filed as part of their appeal, the decision of the Governor, and the report of the Advisory Committee appointed by the Governor. Both men were eventually executed on August 23, 1927. The trial became the center of one of the largest causes célèbres in modern history, and protests on their behalf were held in many cities in North America and Europe.
