this work was published in 1842. This curious publication does not carry an edition designation and is issued by a different publisher, with no
indication of succession from Little, Brown. Presumably Rees Welsh felt that they had some right to publish, since they have copyrighted the work. However, see
the 16th ed. triumphantly published by Little, Brown in 1899 under the heavyweight editorship of John Henry Wigmore.)
