1808 Letter to Governor C.C. Claiborne from H.P. Nugent. The letter was written after Nugent's imprisonment following allegations by Mr. Thierri and other complaints. Also attached was a letter to the petit-jury in the trial of the action Nugent v. Garland. Also included was a letter to the public and a poem entitled "A Quibbling Elegy on the death of the worshipful Judge Boat." (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
