SEE ALSO 53639 On January 25, 1842, the Committee on Elections responded to an order. Could a law help persons omitted from the tax lists to be
assessed and then placed on the voting rolls? The Committee declined to legislate. A minority of three men reported a bill: An Act concerning the tax
lists, 1842. If a name was omitted from the tax lists, it could be added up to fourteen days prior to an election. (Digitized from a microfilm copy
