An Act concerning devises and wills of married women, 1842. Any married woman of sound mind could dispose of any property, provided the rights of the
husband were not affected and he, of sound mind, gave his written assent to the document. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held
by the Library of Congress).
Title:   Ordered, that the Committee on Probate and Chancery consider the expediency of providing by law that married women may make devises of their property by will in certain cases.
