Senate No. 39 When John Quincy Adams presented Congress with a memorial from the citizens of Massachusetts, he was accused of subornation, perjury,
and high treason. On February 10, 1842, Mr. Duggan asked a committee to draft resolutions expressing the state's outrage at the treatment of Mr.
Adams. Was this yet another abridgement of Constitutional rights by the slave-holding states? (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally
