Joint Standing Comm. on Banks and Banking. Act in addition to the act establishing the Springfield Bank, 1842
Senate No. 36 On February 9, 1842, the Joint Standing Committee on Banks and Banking, in response to a petition, reported a bill: An Act in
addition the the act establishing the Springfield Bank, 1842. The bank could increase its capital stock by $100,000 in shares of $80 each, but all shares
had to be sold by October. The bank could not do business relying on that money until a sworn statement that the money had been paid was on file with
the Secretary of the Commonwealth. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
Title:   The Joint Standing Committee on Banks and Banking, to whom was committed the petition of Springfield Bank, praying for an increase of capital, respectfully report the accompanying bill.
