Senate No. 18 On January 26, 1842, the Committee on the Judiciary, in response to an order, submitted a bill: An Act relating to the sale of real
estate by executors, administrators, guardians, and trustees, 1842. When any sale of real estate was to be made, under order of the court, by anyone
associated with an estate, a report on the sale shall be made to that court, which will approve the conveyance of the real estate. Such sales would
be valid in law. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
Title:   Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary consider and report upon the expediency of providing by law, that the proceedings of executors, administrators and guardians, in making sale of real estate, shall be approved and confirmed by the court authorizing the same, in order to give validity to any title acquired under such sale.
