|
|
Senate No. 37 On February 26, 1841, the Committee on Rail-roads and Canals, in response to a petition, reported: An Act to incorporate the Worcester Branch Rail-road Company, 1841. Four men were made a corporation named as above, subject to Chapters 39 and 44 of the Revised Statutes. The corporation would build a railroad within the town of Worcester to link with the Boston and Worcester Rail-road. It would have capital stock of $50,000, but the act would be void if the rail-road was not completed in three years.
