Joint Comm. on Representative Districts. Act relating to representative districts, 1840
|
|
House No. 51 A Joint Committee tried to provide election directions in case the Constitutional amendment was passed by reporting a bill: An Act relating to Representative districts, 1840. If two or more jurisdictions voted to combine to create a Representative district, there were directions as to how to take and count the votes. The 1837 act was repealed. This act would be good if the Constitutional amendment passed and void if it failed. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
