House. Special Comm. on Volunteer Militia Bounty. Act concerning the Militia, 1840
In March 1840, The Special Committee on the Militia reported a bill: An Act concerning the militia, 1840. The bounty paid to volunteer militia
companies was repealed. If a company wanted to file for the bounty before that bounty went away, absolutely every requirement had to be completed and the
names of the company sworn to before payment would be considered. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts
State Library).
Title:   The special committee on the subject of the bounty heretofore paid to volunteer militia companies, and to whom was referred an order concerning that subject respectfully, in part, report the accompanying bill.
