Title:   The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom were referred the petition of the overseers of the poor of the town of Danvers, and of other inhabitants of said town, and of the overseers of the poor of the towns of Andover, Billerica and Littleton, severally praying, that where convicts having a legal statement in any town within this state, are sentenced to confinement in a house of correction for any offence, provision shall be made by law for a notice to be given to the overseers of the poor of such town, and that the overseers of such house of correction shall, on the written application of the said overseers of the poor, be required to permit them to remove such convict to the work-house of such town, "or that such other modifications of the law may be made, as will relieve the many inconveniences which now exist."
