House No. 66 On April 9, 1836, an unnamed committee that was to consider asking Congress for help to stem the flow of foreign paupers issued a
report. The continuing action of Great Britain to rid itself of paupers was described and the committee presented a Resolve asking Congress to pass a law
to prevent the introduction of foreign paupers into the country. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of
