House No. 44 In response to an order of January 26, 1836, on March 4, 1836, the Committee on the Judiciary reported a bill: An Act to regulate the
redemption of mortgages of personal property, 1836. When the terms of a mortgage were broken, the property could be foreclosed and sold, per the
directions for the sale requirements. The property could be redeemed before the sale. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
