House No. 24 An Act to incorporate the Sturbridge Cotton Mills, 1836. Three men and their associates were incorporated as above to manufacture
cotton or wool [cloth] subject to Chapters 38 and 44 of the Revised Statutes. The corporation could hold $50,000 worth of real estate and up to $150,000
