Senate No. 88 On April 11, 1836, the Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance reported a bill: An Act to incorporate the Warren Wharf Company, 1836. Three men and their associates were incorporated as above, subject to Chapter 44 of the Revised Statutes, to hold real estate in South Boston to construct wharves, receive cargo, erect buildings, and lay out streets. The corporation could purchase real estate to a value of $400,000 and have up to 1600 shares. The buildings could not encroach on any navigation channel.
