Senate. Comm. on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance. Act to incorporate the Wharf Company, 1836
Senate No. 65 On March 19, 1836, the Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance reported a bill: An Act to incorporate the Boston Wharf Company,
1836. Three men and their associates were incorporated as above, subject to Chapter 44 of the Revised Statutes. The corporation could buy up
property in south Boston in the area specified and hold up to $100,000 in personal property. The corporation was to have 1200 shares at $500 each. Each
share equaled one vote up to 300 shares. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   The Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance, to whom was committed the petition of Cyrus Alger and als. for corporate powers, report the accompanying bill.
