Senate. Comm. on Manufatures. Act to incorporate the Quinebaug Reservoir Company, 1836
Senate No. 60 On March 17, 1836, the Committee on Manufactures reported a bill: An Act to incorporate the Quinebaug Reservoir Company, 1836. Six
men were incorporated as above to construct reservoirs on the Quinebaug River and its tributaries to generate additional water power to benefit mills
in the area. The corporation was subject to Chapter 44 of the Revised Statutes. It could make and construct dams, purchase real estate up to
$25,000, and own personal estate up to $20,000. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
