SEE ALSO 52786 Senate No. 48 [There appear to be two copies of this document.] On March 4, 1936, the Taunton Branch Railroad Corporation asked
leave to merge with the Boston & Providence Railroad Corporation. The Committee on Railways and Canals reported a bill: An Act in addition to an act to
establish the Taunton Branch Railroad Corporation, 1836. Taunton could make a contract with the Boston & Providence to transfer assets and
liabilities to the larger line, provided such contract was filed with the Secretary of State within three months. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title

The Joint Committee on Railways and Canals, to whom was committed the petition of the president of the Taunton Branch Rail-road Corporation, for power to unite said corporation with the Boston and Providence Railroad Corporation, have had the same under consideration, and ask leave to report a bill.
