Senate No. 41 On February 25, 1836, the Committee on Fisheries reported a bill in response to a petition: An Act to incorporate the Orleans
Fishing Company in Orleans, 1836. Three men were incorporated as above with permission to connect a pond and a bay for alewife fishery. Poachers of their
product would be fined. Adjacent landowners could join the corporation. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
