Bliss. Report on printing and publishing the Revised Statutes, 1836
Senate No. 3 Report respecting the printing and publishing of the Revised Statutes. A Resolve of November 3, 1835, directed Mr. Bliss and Mr.
Rockwell to get proposals for the printing and binding of the statutes. There were to be 1500 copies which would be available for sale for five years. On
January 13, 1836, Bliss and Rockwell reported that Dutton & Wentworth had won the contract and created one volume with 940 pages, including an index,
to cost $1.93 each and be available in February. It would be a few days late, but the specimen copies were very satisfactory. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
