Jackson. Report relating to the Revised Statutes, 1836
Senate No. 2 Report of the Hon. Charles Jackson relating to the Revised Statutes and the existing general laws of the Commonwealth. On January
11, 1836, Jackson sent a report about the revision of the statutes with a list of laws still in effect and two bills: one to repeal all acts
consolidated in the Revised Statutes and one to amend the Revised Statutes and to supply certain omissions. To do the job properly, it should be specified what
had been repealed and what remained. Pages 6-23 listed acts which would remain and pages 23-24 discussed those to be repealed. Pages 25-38: An Act
to amend the Revised Statutes and supply certain omissions therein, 1836. Pages 39-108: An Act to repeal expressly all the acts which are consolidated
in the Revised Statutes, 1836. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
