House. Special Comm. on a Lighthouse in Marblehead. Act to take or purchase land for a lighthouse, 1835
House No. 7 A special committee of three men reported a bill: An Act to authorize the United States to take or purchase a site for a light-house on
the Neck in Marblehead, and to cede the jurisdiction of the same, 1835. The United States could purchase or take four acres of land on the Neck in
Marblehead, with Massachusetts having concurrent jurisdiction for civil or criminal matters. A jury in Essex County would value the chosen property and
the county would manage the transfer, the United States paying all costs. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
