Senate No. 62 In March 1835, the Committee on Banks and Banking reported a bill: An Act in addition to an act to regulate banks and banking, 1835.
This is difficult. No bank with a charter from the Commonwealth could pay interest on a list of transactions, but the prohibition did not apply to
savings institutions or borrowings from the Commonwealth or the United States. No explanation was included. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
