Senate. Comm. on Roads and Bridges. Act to establish the Miller's River Bridge Corporation, 1835
Senate No. 32 The Committee on Roads and Bridges reported An Act to establish the Miller's River Bridge Corporation, 1835. Three men were
incorporated as above for locating, building, and completing a bridge over Miller's River from East Cambridge to the Barrell farm in Charlestown. Damages were
managed in the standard way. The corporation was set up in the usual way. Toll was granted. Once the toll had generated enough money to pay for
construction (no more than $7,000) and amass a sufficient repair escrow, the bridge was to be turned over to Middlesex County, after which the toll
would end. The corporation had to make an annual report to the Governor. The County could buy the bridge at any time, subject to listed conditions.
