House No. 60 The Committee on the Judiciary reported a bill: An Act in addition to an act more effectually to protect the sepulchres of the dead
and to legalize the study of anatomy in certain cases, 1834. No public thoroughfare of any type could go through a burial space. If anyone destroyed a
tombstone or other grave furnishings or damaged cemetery plants, that person was liable to a fine. Any body to be buried at public expense could be
offered to a medical school for anatomical study. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
