SEE ALSO 52630 House No. 53 The Committee on the Militia reported a bill: An Act in further addition to the several acts for regulating,
governing, and training the militia of this Commonwealth, 1834. The first two sections listed previous requirements of service that would be repealed.
Members of a volunteer corps could quit, but then the men would be enrolled in a standing company. Any remaining volunteers could be reorganized at the
pleasure of the Commander in Chief. Volunteers would be paid after their service was certified. The pay of certain officers was listed. (Digitized
