SEE ALSO 52587 House No. 33 A Special Committee of five men submitted a bill: An Act in addition to an act to abolish imprisonment for debt in
certain cases, 1834. After July 4, 1834, no one could be imprisoned for debt. The debtor had to notify the court of his situation and take the poor
debtor's oath and the process would follow from there. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
