House. Special Comm. on Bounty Lands. Resolve granting bounty land to soldiers of the Revolutionary War, 1834
House No. 27 A three man Special Committee reported a Resolve: A Resolve granting bounty land to soldiers of the Revolutionary War, 1834.
Non-commissioned officers or soldiers who served two and a half or two years, depending, and had not received land or money yet, could pick 200 acres from a
selected list of townships. Such persons had to have a survey done and claims proved by March 4, 1835 or could choose to apply for $50 instead.
Agents could not claim land for someone and then take it for themselves. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts
State Library).
