Senate. Comm. on Claims. Report on memorial of S.D. Parker, Esq., 1834
Senate No. 56 The Committee on Claims responded to a petition by Samuel D. Parker, Esq. Parker began as the Suffolk County Attorney in 1832. He
cited several laws that had increased his responsibilities, detailed the amount of work he had to do and asked for a raise. The Committee went over his
tasks and looked at the fee structure, which they declared to be inadequate. A Resolve recommended an additional $600 right away and an act
authorized an increase in salary by $600/year, to be paid quarterly. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State
Library).
