SEE ALSO 52568 On March 6, 1834, responding to a petition to be able to sell certain real estate, the Committee on Probate and Chancery submitted a
bill: An Act to authorize the sale of real estate in certain cases, 1834. A person or persons interested in particular real estate could petition the
court for authority to sell it. The court had to be convinced that partial sale or division of the land was not in anyone's best interest. The
petitioner had to file a bond to ensure all parties were paid their share. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts
