Senate. Comm. on Roads and Bridges. Act to incorporate the Proprietors of Chelsea Free Bridge, 1834
SEE ALSO 52655 Senate No. 39 The Committee on Roads and Bridges presented a bill: an Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Chelsea Free
Bridge. Three men were incorporated as the Proprietors of the Chelsea Free Bridge to build a bridge from Noddle's Island over the Chelsea Creek to a
farm in Chelsea. The bridge had to have a 24 hour draw and no toll for vehicles or pedestrians. If the Corporation decided to build access roads, that
was at their expense. If the bridge was not built in three years, the act was void. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
Massachusetts State Library).
