SEE ALSO 52176, 52236 Senate No. 37 On February 15, 1834, in response to a petition, the Committee on Fisheries presented a bill: An Act in
addition to the several acts regulating the inspection of pickled fish, 1834. Inspectors were not required to brand the owner's name or "Cargo" on casks
of pickled fish. Some sections of previous acts were repealed. Inspectors were to brand casks with the year of inspection and "North" or 'South," as
appropriate. Quality grades were defined. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
