SEE ALSO 52329, 52342 Senate No. 24 On January 22, 1834, the Committee on the Judiciary was directed to consider if any changes were required to
secure the purity of elections and the rights of suffrage. The Committee reported: An Act in addition to an act more effectually to secure the
rights of suffrage, 1834. Whomever presided at an election meeting should have a list of qualified voters before him and check the names of voters as they
appeared. Failure to do so meant a fine. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire, what further provision may be made by law, the more effectually to secure the purity of elections, and the rights of suffrage.
